Is it legal for Canadian website to host Asia movie, drama, and anime?
I’m researching for my assignment report that It is legal for CanadianWebsite to host Asia Movie, Drama and Anime (underground website like aznv.com).
Is there any legal rights to protect the property rights for the Asia Film makers/owners?
What are the best steps to take the legal action or to report them in the case of copyright infringement?
There is a Grey Area in the law that can allow you to do it…
If the specific show/movie that you want to host is NOT licensed to be distributed in your country, it is not technically illegal to use it.
Like… When I download Anime… I try to download anime that has been ‘fan sub’.
So I can download “Monster” in the US because it has not been licensed by an American Company to be viewed or sold in the US but I CANNOT download Inuyasha because an American Company owns the rights and it is sold/shown in the US.
So as long as no one in your country owns the rights to it… It is NOT illegal… But the SECOND the rights are sold… It BECOMES illegal.

Yes it definitely matters. why would a website from the UK outrank a website from a business down the street
If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.
I’m Canadian, does my website need to adhere to the new FTC regulations?
I sell instructional products on my website, and I currently have testimonials from customers on the website about each product. Many of my customers are American, and my site is hosted on a server in California.
Since I’m Canadian, does my site even fall under the jurisdiction of the FTC?
If the server is in the USA, the website is subject to US law. It doesn’t matter if you have EVER stepped foot on US soil.
